Saratoga County Clerk Craig A. Hayner joins officials at the 2021 Yellow Ribbon Day Ceremony.

Saratoga County Clerk Craig A. Hayer thanks all who participated in the Saratoga County Clerk’s 2021 Yellow Ribbon Donation Drive, helping to make it a success.

The Yellow Ribbon Day Donation Drive provided the Blue Star Mothers NY-2 enough donations of snack and personal care items to fill approximately 200 “Freedom Boxes” and more than $1800 in monetary donations, which will help them ship approximately 140 of those boxes. The care packages will be sent to deployed troops who call the Capital Region home.

“This year’s drive looked different than previous years but the outcome was still remarkable. We collected an equal amount of donations as we did in 2019 and more than double the monetary donations,” said Saratoga County Clerk Craig A. Hayner. “I thank the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and its Veterans Business Council, specifically Denise Romeo, for her role in coordinating our donation efforts with local Hannaford stores. Thank you to Hannaford store managers throughout Saratoga County for collecting donations on our behalf and allowing us to bring our donation drive directly to the community. And I thank our generous community; we are fortunate in Saratoga County to have so many caring people living and doing business here.”
